Common questions

Where are my documents stored?

Documents remain on your device by default. If you enable iCloud Sync, encrypted private copies are stored in your personal iCloud database.

Do I need an account?

Vault Docs does not require a separate proprietary account. Optional sync uses the iCloud account already configured on your Apple device.

How do I add documents?

You can import a PDF, image, photo, or text file, or capture a document using the camera. You can then provide a title and category to keep it organized.

How do I enable iCloud Sync?

Open Vault Docs Settings and enable iCloud Sync. Your device must be signed in to iCloud. Document contents and metadata are encrypted before private copies are uploaded.

What should I do if iCloud Sync is not working?

Check your internet connection, iCloud sign-in, and that iCloud Drive is enabled. Reopen Vault Docs and try Sync Now. If the problem continues, contact support and include the exact error message.

How do I restore Premium?

Open the Premium screen and select Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.

How do I export or delete my data?

You can export stored data or use Clear All Data in Settings. Turning iCloud Sync off alone does not delete copies already stored in iCloud.
